Easter 2008!!

Our Easter celebration began last night when Josh and I watched a video on tv about Jesus' resurrection. It wasn't the traditional "Ten Commandments" type show that I usually watch around Easter, rather it was a conglomeration of scientists and archaeologists who were making their own claim about what they believed actually happened. It was interesting to hear, but I still believe the Bible.

This morning we woke up to get ready for church. I made a small but yummy breakfast of scrambled eggs and fruit then had to run off to curl my hair. I'm into big hair these days :) Of course, I made us take some Easter pictures. Josh said we'd have plenty of Easters to come, but I want to document every single one.

Josh and I just before church.

After church we decided to take some outside pictures! Isn't he handsome!!!

So... we got tired of all the standing-around poses, so we opted to do something a little more fun!

and this is WAY more fun!!!!!!!!!!

So when we finished our photo-shoot I said "give us a two thumbs up for taking such great shots" ..... but he thought it would be funnier to make an ugly face.

so I said "come on! play my game!" so then he got REALLY CHEESY!!! he's super cute!

The Easter Bunny ALMOST found us today!! As we were leaving church, we ran into a woman and her husband trying to give away a free black lab. They found him on the side of the road and since they already had 2 labs + a baby on the way, they could not have another. I BEGGED and begged Josh if we could take him home (b/c we've been talking about getting a dog! yay!), but Josh said "No"... we still live in an apartment and do not have enough room for a big dog. I agree..... I guess. Actually, I'm not really ready to not have Tini as my number one girl. :) Someday. But not yet.

Here's my favorite girl in her Easter outfit!!

Spring Break 2008

Josh and I took a marvelous trip to Arkansas this weekend. We had SOOO much to do, but we were able to jam pack it in and make it fun. I had a dermatology exam Friday morning and Josh worked til noon. Then Stacey met us at our apartment (we gave her and Choda a ride to AR) and we left around 1:30. We arrived in LR around 8 and had a late dinner with my parents. Then we talked for a few hours before finally unloading the car around midnight and going to bed. We woke up for a lovely breakfast with mom and dad then packed up again and hit the road to NWA. We arrived at Suzanne's new house around 2:30 and took a tour of her new home! SME, Nappy, Amanda, and Maddie came too! It was nice seeing everyone again. We could only stay for a small while before heading to Rogers to say hi to Josh's parents and getting ready for the wedding of Kyle & Miah Scogin. We said a short hello then left for the wedding at 4:15. It was a beautiful ceremony at Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista. The reception was at the Garden Room in Fayetteville. It was simple and elegant and a lot of fun. Josh and I then parted ways so he could visit some more with his high school friends, I could go see the rest of the girls. I met them all at Theo's and it was a wondeful time. I had a glass of wine that tasted like a firecracker. Josh and I met up again just in time to go see Paige before we went home. Sunday morning Josh and I woke up and left in a hurry for Missouri... we were going to see my grandparents and great-grandmother! We actually went out of the way for about 30 minutes making our trip an hour longer than planned, but it was well worth it. My grandparents met us at their town home and had lunch prepared for us. Then we went to visit my great-grandmother. She is 101 and has just recently entered a nursing home. It was very hard to see her in this way, very different from the last time I visited her. We finally left there and arrived back in Rogers around 5 or so. My in-laws were preparing a delicious steak dinner for us, which we enjoyed after taking a tour of Paige's new home. Monday, Josh had a ton of appointments which left me free to shop, lunch, and hang out with Leslie. It was a nice day. That afternoon we drove to LR for another dinner with my parents. We went to bed a little earlier than normal, because we were so exhausted. At 9am the next morning, we left for Baton Rouge. Such a short trip, but filled with so many good memories. :)

Merry Christmas to All!!

We had such a wonderful Christmas vacation!! We split time between the Medlocks and the O'Neals, most of the time being in Rogers, but we did make stops in Jonesboro and Fayetteville to see more and more family! Tini came along for the ride, too! We miss you already!

26 on the 26th!

Thats right. Josh is 26! I felt like such a bad wife, because his birthday was the Monday after thanksgiving, but also the same week as my cardiology, parasitology, and exotics finals. He had a small taste of birthday when mom brought him a present at Thanksgiving, which was very fitting seeing how Josh was born on Thanksgiving day, but it was no party. He was a good sport and was patient with me, and we finally celebrated his birthday last Friday night. I made Taco Bake (his fave dish!) and a super delicious cake -with sprinkles for me. I am thankful for him :)

TDAY 2007

Since I have 4 finals in 1 week, Josh and I could NOT make the trip to Arkansas for Thanksgiving. Soooooo, Mom and dad came down to Baton Rouge!! Stacey and Craig also came over to share family time. We all split the cooking duties, and I made the annual Thanksgiving Trivia game. Stacey won!! (Josh really won, but the prize was a Snickers bar that needed to be gone!)

Josh was sweet and helped me set the table. I wish I took a picture of it.... It was in the shape of a T (two rectangle tables together), and we didn't quite have enough chairs so since Josh and I were the hosts we sat in our tailgating chairs!!! It was quite the set up.

Like I said before, we all split up the cooking duties. Mom actually ended up taking over my culinary responsibilities and let me study.

The boys, on the other hand, had a nice time watching TV. I must give them credit though. They had a sincere thank you ready for us when it was time to eat. Boys, you're welcome.

Well, we only had 2 tickets to the Arkansas/ LSU game. Originally they were for Mom and Dad, but Mom gave hers up to Josh could go. Isn't she sweet!? We had a good time watching it on TV and wondering how the boys must be feeling now that we BEAT LSU!!!!!!!

Love those Hogs!

Josh and I made a spontaneous trip back to Arkansas for one Razorback football game this year. No, we didn't win.... but Josh and I sure enjoyed being back with everyone! We went to dinner at Wasabi with Suz and John and the gang.
